As of today JCPenny is starting a new sales system. They will no longer advertise weekly sales nor will they offer coupons. Their new system has a 3 tier system
Red: Everyday great prices, no need for coupons or weekend sales.
White: The best stuff of the month at a low price all month.
Blue: Lowest price markdowns on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
There is much debate over if this system will be good or bad. If you try it out come back and let us know. Many think they were able to score better deals with coupons in the past. Others like the lack of junk mail and no coupons necessary. Remember this policy starts today 2/1/2012 so time will tell how the new policy works.
